The MA in Education and its constituent parts are normally offered to qualified professionals (usually in Education) and those with equivalent. Applicants shall normally hold a good first degree UK Upper Second Class Honours or above, or Masters level credits (eg. PGCE) in a relevant discipline (see individual specialism/module requirements). In addition to this, candidates should also have at least 3 months (or part time equivalent) relevant experience of working in an educational or other relevant setting (see individual specialism/module requirements).
Working from your own home and/or place of work, you will become part of a virtual learning community, studying collaboratively with your fellow students and an online tutor. The VLE allows you to access learning materials, share documents, and interact with colleagues and tutors. The online environment also links to other resources such as the Online Library (which includes journals, databases and referencing tools) and informal discussion areas. Here you can share insights and support each other as you progress through the programme.
